Electric generation choices and issues are much different today than they were just a few years ago. The decisions we make over the next several years will have a major impact on our region. The following pages outline our plan for powering Oregon’s energy future, including a discussion of future prices and the price-setting process.
Oregon’s Energy Future
During the next 20 years, the demand for electricity to serve our customers is projected to increase more than 45 percent. Learn how we’re planning to best meet our region’s future energy needs.
2011 Pricing Request
Settlement recommends 3 percent increase
Agreement has been reached on a recommended 2011 price adjustment for PGE customers in which overall prices would increase about 3 percent. The Oregon Public Utility Commission is expected to rule on the recommendation in December.
The Pricing Process
Setting prices is an open, public process that is regulated by the Oregon Public Utility Commission. As a PGE customer, you can play a role in this process. Learn more about how you can get involved.
